According to the latest report of the US market research agency TMR, the global lighting product market is constantly developing and new demands are emerging.

            According to the report data, the annual compound growth rate of the global lighting product market in 2017-2025 reached 10.4%, which is expected to increase from US$13,393.4 million in 2017 to US$296.327 billion in 2025.

            The report classifies the types of lighting products into LED lamps, T8 LED lamps, discharge lamps, incandescent lamps, and lamps. The luminaires are further divided into ceiling lights, bar lights, hidden lights and chandeliers. Lighting applications include commercial areas, industrial areas and residential areas.

            In the forecast period, Asia-Pacific region will have the largest demand for lighting products, and it is expected that by the year 2025, the scale will reach US$147.5484 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 13.4%. The Middle East and Africa are the second largest markets with a CAGR of 10.2%.

            Demands for high power and long life bulbs and lamps are growing on the market. The industry is also continuously innovating and improving. For example, the development of high-density discharge lamps, LED lamps, and OLED lamps has greatly promoted the development of the lighting market. And because of the high power and long service life of this type of light bulb, it is more and more popular with consumers.

           The urbanization of developing countries and the emphasis on high-performance urban intelligence in developed countries are the main reasons for the growth of global lighting products.

            However, the lack of awareness of recycling, high installation costs, and lack of public standards are factors limiting the development of the lighting market.

            In the lighting products market, new companies have been joining and competition has intensified. The report said that currently Matsushita, GE, Philips, Azoogi LED and other companies dominate the global lighting product market.
